Inspiration for Thesis
Thesis Project update-1
Idea- I have a son who is going to be 2 year old soon, these days he's very interested in learning and totally fascinated by videos. As an Indian parent I've been trying to raise my son bilingual by reading him stories that I read as a kid. Sometimes I've even tried to sing him Indian rhymes (in hindi), teach hindi alphabets, numbers, etc... but nothing seem to interest him much. On the other hand he's totally fascinated by Thomas, sings english poems and loves their flash videos on youtube. I then realized that the style of graphics he likes very simple, bright and colorful. As well as using various mediums like videos to teach poems are fun. Hence, this inspired me for my long term project-" A website for parents like me, where they can find Short Indian stories( with pictures and in text), some craft works related to Indian festivals, printable coloring pages, nursery rhymes, and maybe alphabets & numbers in hindi. " The website is going to be bilingual- English and Hindi, it would also have updated posts of kid-friendly Indian events, Indian cultural classes and would allow parents to share their pictures with everyone.
